Pyramid Humidors and Other Styles

Humidors are made to store cigars- not all are just a wooden box, however, there are other styles- you can find a pyramid humidor or even more exotic types. Its purpose is providing the ideal environment for aging cigars that enhance the flavors instead of drying them out. Most are also equipped with their own hygrometer to monitor the humidity level- although you will probably want to spring for a digital hygrometer. The bigger ones that are designed to hold thousands of cigars already contain a multi-level humidifier system or have built in outlets for a separate humidifier to be easily installed. The most basic kind are desktop humidors that can carry around 20-30 cigars at one time. However, other styles humidors give more preferences to the sworn cigar enthusiast.

Other style humidors include exotic carrying cases. You may see a leather case for three cigars- or a snake skin case for two. Some are made of exotic wood in odd shapes- I remember one that looked like a cookie jar. Probably not a good idea for a house with kids! They could either be end tables, curio cabinets, coffee tables and even those that double as a wine rack- and of course they could be a pyramid. These humidors are designed to store cigars while complementing the interior decoration of a room. There are also humidors that allow collectors to showcase their cigars. These kinds of humidors have glass doors and trays of cigars in layers that are ideal for organization and display.

Other styles of humidors can also be intended for traveling. Travel humidors are designed specifically for storing cigars for people who are always on the go. Whilst equipped with certain components that monitor humidity level, such as having a Spanish cedar interior veneer, they are also designed to be quite handy.
